MageProcs(CurseForge) (opens in a new tab) is our proc alert addon for the WoW Forever Mage. It puts each proc in the middle of the screen, with its time left and stacks, and works in combat even though Forever hides your buffs from addons. If you switch it on, it also counts your Arcane Blast stacks. Out of combat it reminds you of Arcane Intellect and conjured food and water, and each character uses a settings profile you can copy to another account.

Procs it alerts you to

  • Heating Up · FireOn by defaultFaster Pyroblast, up to 3 stacks. Every Fire Blast adds one.
  • Clearcasting · ArcaneYour next damage spell costs no mana.
  • Missile Barrage · ArcaneArcane Missiles twice as fast and free. A row 1 talent, within reach of any tree.
  • Presence of Mind · ArcaneYour next cast-time spell is instant.
  • Arcane Blast tracker · ArcaneCounts your spell damage stacks (up to 4) and the 15 s from the first one.
  • Fingers of Frost · FrostThe target counts as frozen: time for Ice Lance.

Installation

  1. Install it with the CurseForge app (World of Warcraft, WoW Forever flavor) or extract the file into the Interface\AddOns folder of your WoW Forever install.
  2. Type /mp in game. Heating Up is on from the start, and the procs of your talents turn on by themselves the first time a character has them. Presence of Mind and the Arcane Blast tracker are yours to switch on.

Commands
CommandWhat it does
/mpOpens the options (also /mageprocs).
/mp testPreviews the enabled alerts.
/mp movePlaces the alerts over a grid.
/mp resetBack to the default places and sizes.

Limits

  • Most procs come from high-level talents and have not been confirmed in game yet: if you use them, your feedback on CurseForge helps.
  • Fingers of Frost only shows if the game shows its own alert, and while Clearcasting is up it cannot tell Missile Barrage apart.
  • The Arcane Blast tracker counts your casts: in combat it cannot see the effect itself.
  • It leaves out Combustion, Arcane Power and effects on the target, such as Impact, Frostbite or Winter's Chill.
